15:41: WAYNE TRAIN! Wayne Simmonds capitalized on the Devils rush after Nico Hischier blocked a Thomas Chabot shot resulting in a turnover. Simmonds broke in alone and deked out Senators netminder Craig Anderson. | NJ 1, OTT 0

18:16: Nikita Gusev was tripped by J-C Beaudin in the neutral zone, giving the Devils the game’s first man advantage.
