3:29: PALMS! Damon Severson sprung Kyle Palmieri with a stretch pass through the neutral zone. Palmieri made no mistake, splitting the Vegas defense and roofing the puck to make it 1-0. | NJ 1, VGK 0

4:34: Hall broke in alone and fired a shot that was stopped by Vegas netminder Malcolm Subban.

8:34: Matt Tennyson was hit from behind into the boards by William Carrier. Carrier received four minutes while Will Butcher, who mixed it up after the incident, got two. Result was a two minute power play for the Devils.

8:45: Miles Wood holds his wrist in pain after colliding with John Merrill but stays in the game.

Looks like Wood is staying on the #NJDevils bench, in fact he's going out to take a shift.
